Children should develop alphabetic knowledge by acquiring the ability to name letters, distinguish letter shapes, and identify letter sounds. Kindergarteners of Oxford had a hands-on experience on this by learning OT, OX, OY by finding the missing alphabets, writing words in petals, and reading and matching with real things.
